Yale Certamen

In October 2023, I tried out for and successfully made the Phillips Exeter Academy Intermediate Certamen Team. Certamen, which is Latin quizbowl/trivia, is a well-known and distinguished competition, with many tournaments held in the nation's top universities. We were preparing for the Yale Certamen tournament, specifically. At Yale, the Intermediate Team performed quite well! We got past the preliminary and semifinal rounds and made it to the final, where we ended up placing third. Throughout the rounds, I contributed quite well to the team, specializing in the grammar questions. 

Yale Certamen was a great opportunity, and I am looking forward to Harvard Certamen in the spring!
