I started learning music from quite a young age. I began learning piano and drums at Michelle Tuesday Music School from the age of 5, and I participated in many recitals through the school. I picked up viola in 2nd grade, and that has become my main instrument throughout middle school and into high school. I have been a member of Columbus Academy's orchestra since 2nd grade, and I have participated in many concerts and recitals through Columbus Academy. Recently, our orchestra received a superior rating at the Trills and Thrills Music Competition in Sandusky. From 5th to 7th grade, I also participated in Carnatic Music Classes. I learned a lot about the various aspects of Carnatic Music, and I even led virtual practice sessions for my peers during the pandemic. I was able to learn a lot about my country's ancient art forms. Music will continue to be a part of my journey, and I look forward to participating in some of the ensembles and orchestras at Phillips Exeter Academy.
